- Exit for Gardiner Street/Parnell Square (follow signage for City South).
- Follow Gardiner Street for 1 km to Customs House and continue over River Liffey at Customs House Quay.
- Take a left along Sr. John Rogersons Quay for 1 km.
- Turn right at Ferryman Pub on Cardiff Lane.
- The hotel is on the right-hand side.
From Dun Laoghaire Ferryport (12 km):
- Start out at Dun Laoghaire, Dublin R119.
- At the traffic signals continue straight ahead to R119.
- At the roundabout take the first exit, Unclassified.
- Continue straight ahead to Harbour Road - N31.
- At the traffic signals turn right to Crofton Road, signposted All Routes, N31.
- At the traffic signals bear left to Newtown Avenue - N31.

- At the traffic signals continue forward to Rock Road - R118, signposted The North, Dublin Port, R118.

- At Outer Orbital Route Junction 52, continue forward on Northumberland Road - R118, signposted City Centre, R118.
- Turn right at Grand Canal Bridge to Clanwilliam Place.
- At the traffic signals, turn left to Upper Grand Canal Street and take the immediate right to Macken Street/Cardiff Lane.

From Dublin Ferry Port (2 km):
- Turn left towards the first roundabout, which is about 500 metres further along.
- Take the second exit off the roundabout along the North Quays of the River Liffey for 2 km, as far as Customs House Quay.

- Take the immediate left along South Quays for 1 km.
